Terrapin Crossroads is an American restaurant and music venue. We serve a menu highlighting local, seasonal ingredients. We are continuing to grow and are looking for someone who is motivated and eager to grow with us.
The Sous Chef for Terrapin Crossroads is responsible for assisting with the overall success of our restaurant. This includes, but is not limited to, adhering to Terrapin's standards and expectations of food quality, freshness and presentation, and to State and County health department's regulations. This position also motivates, trains, develops and directs the back of house employees to accomplish the objectives of the operation to the satisfaction of the Terrapin Executive Chef, management team and our guests.
- Adhere to Terrapin's philosophy, culture and commitment to quality food and exemplary service. - Perform well with or without direct supervision. - Interact professionally with other employees, guests and suppliers. - Have a passion for cooking. - Meet and exceed the expectations of the guest. - Assist the Executive Chef with ordering and sourcing. - Assist with inventory and food cost analysis. - Oversee the daily appearance and upkeep of the kitchen. - Work with Executive Chef and management in menu development.
- Minimum of 2 years kitchen supervisory experience in a restaurant of similar volume and quality. - Proficient with Word and Excel. - English/Spanish bilingual a plus.
