Terrapin Crossroads, an upscale 400-seat restaurant and music venue located in San Rafael, California, is seeking a General Manager with proven hospitality, team leadership and management skills to create an exceptional dining experience for TxR's guests, and an inspiring and collegial environment for its front-of-house team.
The general manager at TxR will be responsible for all aspects of front of house operations and management. Candidates must have an intuitive understanding of hospitality, and must be an energetic, flexible and enthusiastic team builder and leader. The ability to communicate well is essential, as is the ability to be proactive and to anticipate change.
-At least five years of general manager experience in a large, fast-paced restaurant; -Extensive food, wine and spirits knowledge; -Experience in team leadership and development; -Experience in budgeting, cost management and in reviewing P&L statements; -Experience in managing banquet and private dining events; -Valid California Food Protection Manager Certification card a plus; -Spanish language skills a plus.
