Dig Inn is looking for Culinary Intern to assist our busy Chefs. We're a small, scrappy start-up food company so this person will be an avid learner, passionate for developing his/her craftiness in the kitchen and an assistant wunderkind!
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We are looking for someone who is as passionate about our mission as we are, and who wants to learn a lot in the process of being the right hand person to our Food Team.
Work directly with our Head Chefs taking direction on a multitude of tasks ranging from Prep to tastings
Work collaboratively with a passionate team in a fast-paced, start-up culture
You are super intelligent, passionate and hard working.
You have interest in sharpening your skills in the kitchen and have a bit of experience under your belt-er, knife kit.
You love researching food ideas - investigating ingredients, analyzing them and tinkering with them until they come together perfectly.
While you excel creatively, your left brain gets lots of practice because you appreciate the dollars and cents side of developing recipes.
You always ask why and you don't stop peeling back the onion until you find the answer.
You believe that details matter and you sweat the small stuff, because you understand that this is what separates the winners from everyone else.
You love farmers, may or may not have spent significant time with one and their crops, and an ideal day off is spent at a greenmarket with your farmer friends.
You care about changing the way we eat.

We currently operate 7 restaurants in NYC serving over 40,000 meals/week.
