Restaurant located in Midtown Manhattan in the heart of Rockefeller Center / Theatre District is seeking a passionate & hardworking Chef de Cuisine. This restaurant specializes in contemporary New American Seafood.
-Managing, motivating and leading all back of the house staff.
-Ensure quality, consistency and excellence of all high-end New American seafood cuisine.
-Food cost, labor cost and applicable operating expense management.
-Commitment to highest standards of food safety, sanitation & cleanliness.
-Uphold all workplace standards, policies & procedures.
-Assist in menu development & planning, provisioning & preparation.
-Continual training & mentoring of staff in FOH & BOH.
-Culinary graduate degree
-Strong cooking & expediting skills with a willingness to work the line.
-Effective communication skills, with emphasis in maintaining quality controls.
-At least 3 years of NYC experience in a similar position.
