Seeking Head Chef who is a talented, creative individual with a proven ability to lead team in the opening of a new destination restaurant in a magnificent Wyoming setting. You will be collaborating with a Michelin starred Consulting Chef to create the concept, menus and presentation. Menu will utilize ranch and farm resources in menu creation, support local farmers and producers and be able to seek out the very best quality ingredients. Must be experienced with wood fired cooking. Will oversee prep, sous chef and have comprehensive understanding of organic materials and food waste management.
Above all, must have a proven track record creating food that is both modern, authentic to local ingredients and beautifully presented.
Education and Experience Required: Minimum 5 years experience as a Head Chef in a well-reviewed, fine dining restaurant Certificate or degree in Culinary Arts preferred Impeccable standard of service, clean work habits and a high degree of attention to detail Ability to function in a dynamic environment with a positive attitude and unwavering professionalism Proven ability to respectfully interact with all team members creating a positive team dynamic
The Cakebread Ranch is nestled on 300 acres in the Star Valley in Thayne County, Wyoming, an hour outside Jackson Hole, with 4 miles of the Salt River running through the property. There are 40 head of Wagyu cattle, an organic farm, lush lavender fields and pristine meadows with mountain vistas. In the summer of 2014 a destination restaurant will open featuring wood fired cooking and farm to table cuisine.
