|Position Description:||Join our culinary team and experience life in a fast-paced, multi-outlet operation for the largest Sheraton in North America! We pride ourselves on creativity, quality and the WOW factor for our guests!|
Our Executive Sous Chef supports and assists the Executive Chef and the culinary team by overseeing the day-to-day culinary operations, including coaching, training, and monitoring food quality for The Kitchen Table Restaurant, Draft Sports Bar, Peet's Coffee and banquets. The Executive Sous Chef connects with the culinary team members to support and guide them on food standards, quality assurance and safety in the workplace. Ensure proper receiving, storage (including temperature setting) and rotation of food products so as to comply with Health Department regulations, including coverage, labeling, dating, and placing items in proper containers of kitchen and service. Write, maintain and update all menu specifications, recipes and pictures, and production forecasts. Assist with scheduling, hiring and on-boarding new team members.

To join our team as the Executive Sous Chef, you must have high school or equivalent education, and have a professional culinary certification or culinary school degree.
Looking for at least three years of managerial level Chef experience, or similar role, in a large hotel (1000+ rooms), with large convention hotel and/or multi-outlet experience.
A proven leader who supports and motivates a large team of associates.
Must have the ability to teach and train culinary techniques, i.e., cutting, cooking principles, plate presentation, safety and sanitation practices. Thorough working knowledge of hot and cold food preparation.
Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health codes.
Our team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel, so we ask that our associates have an open and flexible schedule.
