Assist in the planning, preparation and production of all food items Daily communication between all Culinary/F&B/operational department as well as internal & external communication. Respect and communicate to promote an excellent environment in which to work and will provide for your guests a welcome feeling. To be a "team player," anticipate guest needs, and provide guests & colleagues with a friendly experience. Assist in the setup of the line checking quality and consistency of product on all stations.
Communicate any challenges or standard variation that are affecting the operation, or any changes made to better the operation. Help control all aspects of sanitation by monitoring food storage temps and communicating challenges to the Chef on duty. Help with overseeing the proper cleaning of equipment and area's in the kitchen. Carry out the production of all dishes according to the prescribed recipes and specifications and ensure that the portion size, quality and presentation of the dishes conform to the Hotel standard Check and prepare the required mise-en-place according to the menu orders and prepare store requisition for superviser approval. Ensure that the received products meet the pre-determined quality and purchasing specifications.
Ensure the proper handling and storage of food so as to keep spoilage to a maintained. Keep the kitchen area clean and hygienic Check refrigerators, utensils and kitchen equipment on cleanliness Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department head from time to time Show commitment to provide quality service. Understands customers 'changing needs. Applies technical knowledge and skills to work effectively. Is conscious with work safety and HACCP. Participates actively in team activities & supports teamwork. Observes the company rules and regulations. Maintains high standards of professional grooming & hygiene. Accepts responsibility & accountability. Assists others to overcome obstacles & difficulties.
Assist supervisor in food arrangement and maintain regular supply of food items during in menu, record wastage and advise supervisor for appropriate adjustment in future preparation. Maintain all operating equipment in good working conditions and advise supervisor to repair and maintenance request when necessary.
Job Requirements: Must have good knife skills, good food knowledge, and knowledge of proper sanitation practices and be a team player. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
WORK EXPERIENCE: 3-5years of experience to include a culinary degree or completed apprenticeship course (or relevant work experience)
