Position Description:Exclusive and established off-premise caterer is accepting resumes for a talented, working Executive/Catering Chef confident across a variety of cuisines including cutting edge food trends, excellent at energizing teams to execute delicious cuisine for small and large events. The needs are diverse, from very high-end receptions and private events to large wedding receptions to casual continentals, corporate parties and drop-off box lunches.

Candidate must possess an outstanding, mature customer service mentality with a genuine desire to partner with all team members.

This Chef must excel at scratch cooking in a high volume, high standards environment and be able to motivate and develop others to do the same. This chef must have a strong command of technique, alternative dietary choices and stylish presentation skills.

Responsibilities include: 



-Hands-on daily execution of menus that offer excellent, fresh and seasonal dining choices.

-Designing menus that are appropriate to the event, the season and the budget,including sourcing local and unique ingredients.

-Assisting in coordination of the needs of multiple functions and kitchens.

-Communicating clearly and professionally in and out of the kitchen, and comfortable engaging with the public.

-Supporting a professional, creative, fun and safe work environment in the kitchens, with vendors and in collaboration with the management team.


-Collaboration with the catering events director, executive leaders and full culinary team to be excellent stewards of annual budget.

-Building, coaching, developing and retaining a stellar kitchen crew.

-Safe purchasing, preparation, disposal and inventory of ingredients.


-Adhering to local health department's regulations and the clients' high standards and expectations. 



This position demands professionalism, leadership, strong time-management skills, the ability to manage food & labor costs, communication and planning skills, a genuine spirit of cooperation and a schedule flexible to include nights, weekends and holidays, and long hours, specifically during busy season. The right person is also a thoughtful problem-solver,with an even-keeled, positive demeanor, is detail-oriented and takes real pleasure in careful purchasing, preparing and sharing of creative, gourmet and exceptional food. It's a busy environment and needs an on-the-go, energetic personality.

Requirements: 


-Minimum 5 yrs. prior management experience within a resort, country club or high volume establishment.

-Formal culinary training.

-Volume and formal catering production experience.

-Proven track record to meet budgeted goals.

-Solid ability to work in Microsoft Office programs.

-Experience in sustainable practices and sourcing local and unique products.

-Must be able to comfortably be on feet majority of the day and lift 40 pounds.

-Proven record of successful health department inspections.

-All local food handler permits must be current. 





-Strong professional references and access to portfolio of work.

-Current Serve-Safe Certification
