Luxury Boutique Hotel in the lower Hudson Valley with Relais and Chateaux designation seeks an experienced sous chef with proven leadership skills. 2 years experience in fine dining food preparation required. Property includes 50 seat fine dining restaurant, 28 seat casual dining tavern, 19 guest suites and various outdoor dining venues.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to menu development (dining room, tavern, room service and private function), maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction, staffing, food costing and an understanding of, and strong attention to cost control, scheduling, ordering, maintaining sanitation standards and closely working with the executive chef and other members of the kitchen brigade. The successful candidate must have exceptional communication skills as well as excellent managerial and organizational skills.
