Parallel 37, a fine dining establishment, located at the Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco offers a globally inspired cuisine that is artistically creative, focused on the finest seasonal ingredients found in and around the San Francisco Bay Area. We are now hiring dynamic Line Cooks to complete our motivated team of dedicated professionals!
Parallel 37, located at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, at 600 Stockton Street, San Francisco, CA 94108 currently has the following, exciti opportunity:
Line Cook at Parallel 37
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Prepare cold foods. Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently. Monitor food quality while preparing food. Set-up and break down work station. Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles. Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment. Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
-Minimum of 1 year fine dining experience, highly preferably in Michelin rated restaurant or other notable grading system.
-Comfortable with all aspects of vegetable, meat and fish cookery.
-Understanding of progressive cooking technique rooted in disciplined execution and constant evolution of the cuisine.
-Willingness to adopt and emulate the standards of operating in a luxury hotel setting.
-Required to be California Food Handler certified, if coming from out of state the team will train the selected individual.
-Must have the flexibility to work AM through PM shifts, 7 days a week, including holidays.
