About the Brasserie
The Brasserie is a privately owned 80 seat fine dining restaurant with busy adjoining Market (upscale lunch space and coffee shop) on Grand Cayman Island. It is a well established restaurant with a loyal and very discerning clientele, and a fantastic reputation. The restaurant features a recently built state-of-the-art exhibition kitchen, along with an adjacent organic garden.
The culinary concept for the Brasserie Restaurant and Market is guided by chef Dean James Max of DJM restaurants, a James Beard recognized chef, who has been with the Brasserie for over 6 years.
All applicants should have graduated from an internationally recognized culinary school and have a minimum of 3 years previous experience in a luxury or fine dining establishment.
Our ideal candidate will be an energetic and enthusiastic team player with strong English communication skills. As this position involves customer interaction, impeccable personal presentation and a pleasant and helpful attitude are essential. The ability to work with a diverse staff is also a must, so applicants who are well traveled with a demonstrated ability to adjust to new cultures and environments will be given preference.
A minimum 15 month commitment is required.
