The ideal Executive Chef candidate will possess a minimum of five years? experience running and maintaining all aspects of the kitchen. The Executive Chef must be well organized, possess high standards in professionalism, have a positive attitude and work well with others. The position demands creativity on a daily basis, experience with food costing, sanitary requirements, payroll, scheduling, high volume a la carte, and banquets. Applicant must work well under pressure, be organized and have supervisory experience. The need for positive enthusiasm and excellent communication skills is a must. The selected candidate will take leadership on influencing menu design while controlling costs and increasing profitability.

THE REQUIREMENTS: ? Certificate or degree in Culinary preferred. ? A minimum of 5 years? experience as Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a high volume, full service, fine dining restaurant. ? Impeccable service standards, clean work habits and attention to detail. ? Ability to multitask in a high volume kitchen while always maintaining your sense of humor and appearing calm. ? Professional demeanor & polished appearance with the ability to interact with all types of team members. ? Proven ability to lead a staff and positively influence employee behavior. ? Must have excellent verbal communication skills and have the ability to work a flexible schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS ? Previous experience in a Michelin rated restaurant is an asset ? Certification from a recognized culinary institute ? 3 to 5 years work experience in a large hotel, or large freestanding restaurant as Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Chef de Cuisine ? Excellent communication and organizational skills ? Strong financial comprehension ? Work all stations in Kitchen ? Compute basic arithmetic ? Knowledge of food cost controls ? Operate, clean and maintain all equipment required in job functions ? Proven record of excellent administrative and strong verbal-communication skills. ? Commitment to perfection and genuine passion for hospitality. ? Ability to control food cost. ? Finding new food suppliers and price negotiations; knowledge of the local products a plus. ? Provide key input on the organizational structure of the kitchen, and the menu ? Ability to deal with people from all backgrounds. ? Reliable, flexible and an excellent leadership.
