Applicants to this position must reside within a 90 mile radius of the property.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
-Manages chefs and kitchen staff for daily meal production. -Collaborates with dieticians and chefs to maintain product quality and nutritional standards for a multi-week menu schedule with multiple daily meal preps. -Develops production planning for current and provisional Kitchen operations. -Supervises food labeling and inventory management. -Selects vendors that provide superior quality and cost effectiveness, with advanced skills at bidding and negotiating price and delivery. -Manages all financials including budget development, forecasting, and financial reporting. -Embraces innovation. Oversees menu development and use of seasonal products. -Supervises the use of kitchen volunteers used for food preparation and packaging, serving as the public face of the kitchen to volunteers and donors. -Implements and executes established company philosophy, policies, guidelines and procedures for all food and supplies purchased to achieve highest quality and value. -Maintains established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment. -Leads by example. Responsible for employee motivation, training and development and compliance with established labor regulations and company personnel policies and procedures. -Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal regulations -Participates in agency fundraising and cultivation events. -Develops relationships within the culinary industry for branding, community outreach and internships.
Requirements: -Culinary degree. -A minimum of five years professional food service management experience with emphasis on volume cooking and administration. -Prior budget and financial reporting responsibility. -Ability to identify, prioritize and focus on critical tasks. -Excellent written and oral communication skills. -Professional user of Microsoft Office programs.
