Food and Beverage Operations Manager

Position Description:Responsibilities

This is an open posting to identify candidates for future roles as a Food and Beverage Operations Manager at the Walt Disney World Resort and will include the following areas of responsibility: Influencing Food and Beverage organizational strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations. Developing the Food and Beverage Operational Plan which includes implementing strategies to continually enhance the overall Customer experience as well as provide an inclusive and welcoming environment for all employees. Coaching, counseling, and developing leaders of leaders including communicating job expectations as well as monitoring and reviewing the job contributions of all leaders. Creating and model an environment of continuous learning as with a strong emphasis toward continuous improvement. Ensuring that all safety and sanitation levels are upheld in accordance with State of Florida and Walt Disney Word regulations.

This leader must inspire and motivate large and diverse work teams towards Company goals and objectives and will be sought as a subject-matter expert with a strong understanding of emerging food and beverage services practices, standards, and trends. They will also be able to establish and monitor financial controls while developing and implementing strategies to increase overall throughput and profitability.

Basic Qualifications

-Previous revenue responsibility of at least $8M annually

-Minimum 5 years of leading a team of salaried leaders and/or chefs of at least 5 people
-Previous responsibility in multi-unit leadership

-Demonstrated working knowledge of productivity improvements and track record of delivering superior results

-Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytic skills

-Demonstrated strong communication skills

-Demonstrated ability for interaction necessary to achieve results through cross-functional, integrated and well coordinated teams

-Demonstrated business acumen along with a passion for exceptional Customer Service

-Proven ability to easily build consensus by articulating a point of view in a positive and convincing manner with both internal and external stakeholders

-Proven ability to drive, manage and deliver on projects and initiatives within a matrix organization

-Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills

-Demonstrated ability to inspire diverse work teams

-Demonstrated ability to manage the operation as well as teach and develop direct reports

-Demonstrated ability to lead and monitor direct report's performance and operational improvements

Preferred Qualifications

-Proven ability to work in a unionized environment
-Demonstrated bilingual skills

Preferred Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Hotel Restaurant Management or work experience equivalent

Required Education

-High school degree or equivalent
