Position Description:
Alinea Restaurant in Chicago, Illinois is looking for a full-time purchaser. Responsibilities include receiving and organizing top quality ingredients when they arrive to the kitchen, order confirmation and tracking, inspection of equipment for possible maintenance problems, and being able to work in the kitchen under the direction of chefs.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of similar experience in high-end kitchens or the equivalent, the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with co-workers, guests, and executive management, a love for food, a passion for cooking, and a dedicated work ethic.
