Executive Chef

Position Description:The Crowne Plaza New Orleans Airport Hotel is seeking a professional Executive Chef with strong motivation to deliver excellent service. The ideal candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule, possess a passion for excellence and have experience within the hospitality industry, preferable with catering and banquet service.

The Executive Chef is responsible for all aspects of managing the kitchen and kitchen staff, ensuring the quality preparation of all menu items and proper handling/ storage of all food items in accordance with standards. He or she will coordinate the purchase of all food and develop menus and maintain approved food and labor costs. Along with the ability to drive the culinary operations, the Executive Chef must possess the following qualifications:

-Culinary college degree preferred.
-Computer literacy in PMS & POS System.
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Self-starter who can work with minimum supervision.
-Ability to meet deadlines.
-Able to multi- task / strong attention to detail.
-Excellent motivational and leadership skills.
-Must possess a hands-on management style.
