The Yorktown, accommodating 138 guests, is currently accepting resumes. The ship sails to ports within the US, Canada and Central America.
Your submission requires year-round availability. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Work schedules revolve around the vessel's year-round operation. Crew travel and live onboard the vessel, working 6-8 continuous weeks, then receive 2-4 weeks of unpaid vacation off the ship. Travel is paid from the employee?s home airport within the contingent 48 states.
Onboard, employees work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week; an 84 hour work week.
The company provides room and board during each crewmember's scheduled work rotation. Living on a vessel is a unique experience and crew cabins are, out of necessity, very small. Typically two crewmembers will share a cabin containing bunk beds, a small personal locker, a desk and a full bathroom. While on vacation from the vessel, crew must cover all their personal living and transportation costs.

Sous Chef:
-3-5 years' experience as a hands on sous chef in a quality establishment producing fine cuisine.
-Knowledgeable in word, excel, must be able to understand budgets and maintaining food cots.
-Proficient in all aspects of galley operations from cooking, cost controls, sanitation and production of quality menu selections.
-Need to be well versed and strong in all aspects of the galley, Pantry, sauce, soup, fish, meats, vegetables, poultry, roasting some baking and desserts.
-Train workers to a high standard of daily operations including Vessel Sanitation USPH, and quality food production for the passengers and crew Work with the Executive Chef and other crew and participate in on deck bar-b-que and on site cooking for breakfast / lunch/ dinner loading supplies and assisting where necessary.
-Must have, or be able to obtain, a ServeSafe "Food Safety Manager" Certification.
