Chef de Cuisine
Burlington restaurant is looking for a chef to join our team. We seek a self- motivated, creative individual who will work directly with our owner. A creative background in culinary arts, passion for cooking American & Mediterranean cuisine with integrity and strong attention to local and regional ingredients is encouraged.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include (but are not limited to):
-Managinng all kitchen staff -Hiring, training, supervising employees -Reviewing menus, analyzing recipes, determining food, labor, and overhead costs, and costing menu items -Creation of daily specials, special occasion menus -Setting excellent customer service and work examples (timeliness, grooming, ethics, communication and cooperation) -Actively participating as a member of the management team -Maintaining a safe, orderly and sanitary kitchen -Placing orders and receiving product, verifying invoices for pricing and quantities received and for freshness.
