Position Description:
Ridgewells is seeking an Executive Sous Chef who will be responsible for the management of a high quality/high volume production kitchen. Responsibilities include:
-Assuring that food within departments are prepared in an organized, efficient and timely manner.
-Providing hands-on assistance.
-Menu planning.
-Preparation of budgets.
-Payroll management.
-Food control costs.
-Executing client menu tastings.
-Taking part in the responsibilities of Events Kitchen Management.
-Participating in the training of Event Designers and kitchen staff.
-Maintaining recipe standards to ensure that food is produced to specification.
-Scheduling kitchen employees to maximize efficiency and meeting labor budgetary guidelines.
-Maintaining food cost controls and other records.
-Implementing company policies within food production departments.
Qualifications:
-A degree from a post-secondary culinary arts training institute.
-At least five (5) years of proven management record.
-Strong interpersonal skills.
-The ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
