Chef Jose Andres- James Beard awarded and Esquire Chef of the Year- is seeking an experienced Assistant General Restaurant Manager. Ideal candidate should have about 5 years of management experience, strong culinary/wine knowledge, is self motivated, passionate and resourceful. Our company is expanding and we hope to add someone to our team that can quickly grow into a GM role!

ThinkFoodGroup is the creative force behind the best known and reviewed restaurants in DC including Zaytinya, Jaleo, Oyamel, Cafe Atlantico + minibar. We continue to be recognized by the James Beard Foundation, the Rammy's, Food & Wine Magazine and other industry publications. This has resulted in tremendous growth opportunities for our company and our people across the US and in Spain. The little plate movement that Jose has been credited with seems to be taking the country by storm and we need to find the right people to support this growth!

A little about the restaurant...

Zaytinya offers an innovative mezze menu inspired by Turkish, Greek and Lebanese cuisines served up in a sleek and modern setting. Shared small plates, creative cocktails and unique Mediterranean wines make this spot one of DC's top dining destinations.

A little about the position....

Our managers provide hands- on leadership to service team members and ensure steps of service are consistently met to provide exceptional experiences for all guests. Our ideal candidate demonstrates a positive, poised demeanor under pressure and is always solution oriented.... and is hungry for more responsibility, knowledge and opportunity!! We are growing quickly as a company and need managers who are experienced and ambitious enough to grow into a GM role. Work hours/days vary as directed by business needs, and will include weekends and holidays.

-Warm, gracious demeanor.
-High volume experience.
-Passion for food and wine.
-Pride in a quality job well done.
-Genuine humility and respect for guests and employees alike.
-Desire to learn and to teach everyday, all the time.
-Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
- MINIMUM of four years experience as a manager plus additional experience in service position in an upscale restaurant environment .
