Position Description:Haute Catering, the elite up-scale caterer to the U.S. House of Representatives, National Defense University, Pentagon, National Archives and U.S. Naval Academy is seeking to add a Catering Chef its rapidly growing team.

The successful candidate will be joining a culinary team that delivers world-class catered events and caf? concessions and focuses on consistently exceeding customer?s expectations for food quality. This is a fast-paced environment working with very demanding clientele, appropriate for an individual with strong problem solving skills and the ability to ?think outside the box.?

Job Functions:
Manages, trains, develops and coaches up to 25 catering and caf? kitchen staff for daily production.
Achieves profit goals by maximizing staff productivity and produces a high quality food product.
Provide a safe work environment that utilizes high sanitation standards.
Works with Sales team to develop customized event menus, seasonal catering menus and menus for daily special in the caf?.

Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years relative experience in catering, restaurant or production role.
Culinary graduate preferred.
Serv Safe certified and able to follow HACCP guidelines.
Solid knowledge of food cost and general accounting principles.
Excellent management and communication skills.
Ability to create and execute regional cuisine with focus on wellness and fresh local products.

In 2007, Haute Catering expanded when it opened CapitolHost, a division in the U.S. Capitol that is solely dedicated to providing catering services at that site. We also have partnered in recent years with the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) and OTG Management.

Haute Catering?s relationship with NEXCOM began in 2007 at the Pentagon, when we took over operations of the Pentagon Library and Conference Center. Our services at this location include scheduling and room reservations, logistics, in-house catering, and managing the All American Grill for employees and visitors.

In early 2009, we expanded our partnership with NEXCOM by adding the National Defense University, where we cater inside the Lincoln Building.


Haute Catering joined forces in 2008 with Philadelphia-based OTG Management, which has brought airport dining to new heights by offering upscale food in a relaxed atmosphere. We prepare gourmet salads, sandwiches, wraps and sides for OTG?s airport-dining capabilities.

In addition to our contract operations, we also offer social catering services to our clients. They include weddings, receptions, breakfasts and lunches ? virtually any event that requires extraordinary food and service.
