Fine Dining Restaurant Manager for Restaurant Associates

Applicants to this position must reside within a 90 mile radius of the property.
 
Position Description:Restaurant Associates is a national hospitality company based in New York City. We specialize in restaurants, corporate dining, cultural centers and off-premise catering. Our clients include many of the Fortune 500 companies and internationally renowned cultural centers throughout the United States. Our RA brand standards and commitment to innovative concepts continue to attract top industry professionals.

Reporting to the Food Service Director or General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining established costs and quality standards to ensure superior service and to maximize profits. Additional responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
?Hire, train, and develop all FOH restaurant staff in fine dining service standards
?Maintain schedules, payroll and other administrative support to maintain food and beverage cost controls including inventory and pars
?Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings daily
?Maintain communication with all departments to ensure customer service needs are met
?Create seating charts and station assignments daily, following up with support staff of daily expected business
?Maintain all reservation systems and book to accommodate business demands
?Create side work assignments and ensure completion with wait staff
?Maintains cleanliness and presentation of dining room area
?Ensures the highest level of service to clients and their guests
?Investigates and resolves all client/guest complaints in a timely, professional, diplomatic manner

Qualifications:
?Bachelors degree is preferred, or equivalent fine dining experience
?6-8 years of upscale dining with at least 5 year of management
?Cash handling and reconciliation of cash banks and POS systems
?Ability to hire, develop, train, coach and counsel hourly associates
?Excellent knowledge of customer service techniques and current service standards
?Must be able to remain poised and focused under pressure
?Excellent written and verbal communication skills
?Professional appearance and demeanor required.
?Knowledge of basic office programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, as well as reservations systems: Opentable and Tabletop
?ServeSafe or Department of Health certification a plus
