Position Description:
Excellent opportunity to open and manage the brand new World Cafe Live in Wilmington, Delaware! This new entertainment venue consists of a large music venue, restaurant, and significant catering space for social and corporate functions. The selected candidate will be the Food and Beverage Director/ General Manager of the facility. A very strong food and beverage management background is required, and exceptional personnel management skills are a must. Profit and Loss responsibility experience necessary. A significant background in on-premise catering is also required.
The ideal management candidate will be a hard worker, team player, and possess good communication and people skills, be enthusiastic, and have a strong desire for greater responsibility and compensation. Staff development, accountability for financial performance and management skills are essential. Experience in managing other managers is helpful.
The required work schedule will include some nights and weekends.
The qualified candidates must have a minimum of seven years of similar work experience in a restaurant/hotel/club/catering facility environment.
