|Position Description:||THE FAIRFAX EMBASSY ROW HOTEL is a fully restored luxury 4 star/4 diamond boutique-style 259 room hotel situated on Embassy Row in DC's desirable Dupont Circle neighborhood. This location is within one block of Metro access. The hotel attracts clientele from high-level government and embassies as well as celebrities and travelers which very upscale expectations. |
The Fairfax is seeking an experienced "F/B - Executive Chef" who will be responsible for the overall leadership of the hotel's food and beverage outlets including banquets and directing the culinary team. Includes strategic positioning of outlets, overseeing f/b operations team, and hotel's culinary development including menu planning, provisioning, food preparation, and galley sanitation. The position demands creativity on a daily basis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards. This key position is on the hotel Executive Committee.
Applicant should work well under pressure, be organized, flexible, self-motivated, willing to work flexible hours, and have a great sense of humor. Prior f/b leadership mandatory including serving as an Executive Chef.
Requirements include a minimum of 5 years full-service, luxury hotel/ restaurant experience. Culinary degree or equivalent experience is also required.
Other pluses include, a positive mental attitude, well groomed, and an outgoing personality.
