Position Description: A busy mid-sized Minnesota city award winning restaurant recognized by Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, the James Beard Foundation as well as local and state recognition. We are looking for someone with desire, drive and vision who can capitalize on multiple opportunities as they arise.
The position requires leadership and participation in all matters of the kitchen, as well as a willingness to be a community member and comfort in becoming a leader in local, sustainable food products and produce. This is a working and supervisory position. Must work well with event coordinators.
Applicant should also work well under pressure, be organized, flexible, self-motivated, pleasant, willing to work hard, have a great sense of humor and be willing and able to teach both the BOH and FOH about products, fabrication and menu preparation.

Responsibilities: - Understand budgets, forecasts, and maintaining approved food costs and labor costs. - Schedule, manage, and develop all kitchen employees. - Coordinate the purchase of all food with the ability to change the menu based on the availability of local ingredients - Monitor food quality and presentation of all food product. - Proper handling/storage of all food items in accordance with standards. - Menu development for catering events and private dining experiences -- etc...
Requirements: 3 years experience in a quality restaurant. Culinary degree a plus. International cuisine experience a big plus. Respond well to a fast paced environment with the ability to lead and instruct. Flexibility for farm to table products as well as corporate events. Knowledge of catering equipment a plus.
