Position Description:The restaurants at Old Edwards Inn and Spa offer the freshest and most innovative cuisine in the North Carolina Mountains. Special wine dinners throughout the season combine a wide variety of wines with the award-winning cuisine of Chef Johannes Klapdohr.

At Madison's restaurant and Wine Garden on Main Street Highlands, dine in relaxed elegance on farm-to-table sustainable cuisine from Chef's organic garden with a Wine-Spectator awarded wine list and AAA Four-Diamond rating. Enjoy light, healthy fare at the Spa Cafe. In the warmer months, enjoy delicious light fare at the Poolside Bar and Bistro. The Rooftop Terrace at the main historic inn became an instant favorite alfresco option when it opened in Summer 2011.

This bold, upscale resort currently seeks experienced Sous Chef to round out its kitchen staff of culinary professionals who are at the top of their field.

Responsibilities:

Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production in accordance with guided specifications while maintaining organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.

Requirements:

Minimum 4 years of similar experience in high-end kitchens or the equivalent, the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with co-workers, guests, and executive management, a love for food, a passion for cooking, and a dedicated work ethic.
