The largest and fastest growing restaurant group North of Boston, Serenitee Restaurant Group, will soon be opening a unique casual chic restaurant in the beautiful town of Winchester, which is located just eight miles north of downtown Boston. The restaurant will focus on local, organic grass fed ingredients and creative, yet approachable dishes. This foodie focused restaurant will have a hip vibe and will be the perfect blend of superb hospitality and cutting edge culinary offerings, including both traditionally composed plates and a crudo bar. The restaurant will also have an exciting craft cocktail and craft beer program and a superb wine portfolio.
We are currently recruiting a Chef for this exciting new location. Candidates must have 5-10 years experience in casual fine dining or fine dining location and be dedicated, motivated, hyper creative and talented.
The Chef is directly responsible for the cost-effective operation of a clean and safe kitchen while meeting or exceeding food quality and speed of service requirements. The Chef is responsible for operating a profitable restaurant, where the quality of food, service and ambience are continually challenged and improved, and where an environment that fosters creativity, free thinking and intelligent decision making is encouraged. Major responsibilities include: -Setting pace and tone of kitchen -Providing ongoing training and constant improvement of product and workplace -Providing feedback and direction to BOH team -Cost management and profitability -Purchasing -- placing effective orders and monitoring quality and managing prime and local vendors accordingly -Production -- taking a hands on approach and being directly involved in all daily production -Producing accurate physical food inventory as scheduled -Menu development and design -Recipe and proper menu costing -Attending weekly management meetings -Working with the GM to provide ongoing training of menu through pre-meals and additional meetings as necessary
