We are a luxury seventy-seven room boutique hotel/resort located in McCall, Idaho (two hours north of Boise) on the shores of Payette Lake. We have four full service restaurants including The Narrows, over 13,000 square feet of banquet space as well as a world class golf course and The Cove, our signature spa. Dining is a main attraction at Shore Lodge for local guests as well as visitors. A highlight of the dining experience is dinner in The Narrows, Shore Lodge?s award winning restaurant, which features a frequently changing menu accompanied by an extensive collection of wines, dessert wines, ports and artisan cheeses. The Lake Grill serves a wide selection of favorite breakfast and lunch dishes (and its Huckleberry pancakes are not to be missed). Perhaps best known for its delicious range of gourmet burgers, The Narrows Grill and Game Room is the perfect place to unwind while enjoying a cocktail, light meal or snack and live entertainment.
Plan, organize, control and direct the work of employees in the Culinary department. Responsible for outlet food preparation while ensuring superior quality and consistency.
Position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the kitchen. Monitors food and labor costs. Assists Executive Chef in creating and implementing menu and production changes.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Formal, culinary arts training
- A thorough knowledge of food preparation and presentation
- Experience with purchasing and maintaining inventory levels
- Knowledge of current culinary trends
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A hands-on, open-door style of leadership
- Ability to multi-task and work under deadlines in a stressful environment
? Thorough knowledge of all Microsoft applications and a general computer literacy
? At least three years of experience in a similar role
- A sense of Maturity & Leadership
- The ability to functionally multitask with speed and grace
- An understanding of the front and back of the house
- Time spent in both front of the house and back of the house positions
