Highly Acclaimed Restaurant Seeking Experienced Executive Chef (Baltimore, MD)
Fleet Street Kitchen, A locally driven and high-end restaurant, is currently in the process of accepting resumes from qualified applicants for a hands-on, talented executive chef to oversee menu development, scheduling, staff trainings, ordering, menu descriptions, and food and labor costs. We are seeking team-oriented, experienced, and goal-driven chef, with intense passions for food to join our team, and to become a member of an increasing prominent restaurant group.
Our restaurants have received accolades from the James Beard Foundation, Food Arts, Wine Spectator, Star Chefs, and various other local and national publications. We provide the services and attention to detail that is expected from high end establishments, while also focusing on creating a sophisticated and comfortable ambiance for our guests to enjoy. While both restaurants vary in atmosphere, price, and concept; both menu will feature seasonally driven and local products whenever possible.
Again responsibilities include but are not limited to; ordering, receiving (from farmers and markets), scheduling, and menu development. Applicant must also be proficient in menu and labor costing, hiring, and staff development. All applicants must have superior culinary, and food production skills, as well as high standards of excellence. The qualified candidates must be motivated self-starters with excellent communication, problem resolution, organizational skills, and the ability to work well with others. Must be able to work cleanly, efficiently, have respect for quality ingredients, and careful attention to preparation. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, and ensure smooth service operations and quality service. Requirements:
5 years of high-volume and high-end restaurant experience is required; as well as 2-4 years' experience in a management roll, advanced product knowledge, Interest, passion, and familiarity with local or unique ingredients. Culinary degree preferred. Cleanliness, organization, and the ability to work well in a team situation are crucial to this position.
