|Position Description:||Shaw's Crab House in Chicago is looking for a career-oriented Sous Chef with a real passion for seafood. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience with two distinct concepts under one roof. You'll use your classic culinary techniques for the main dining room's upscale cuisine, and cook for a more casual seafood menu in our Oyster Bar. |
Our ideal candidate will embrace seafood sustainability and our kitchen's farmer's market approach: we use local, high-quality produce and seasonal ingredients with seafood flown in fresh each day. -3+ years of Sous or Chef experience in a very high-volume kitchen
-Strong cooking skills and a developed palate
-Experience with back of house systems & financials including P&L, payroll, scheduling, etc.
-Skilled in comfortably & confidently leading an established, long-term kitchen team
-Ability to communicate effectively with all team members
-Experience with utilizing farmer markets and/or farm-to-table approach
-Desire to grow their career with Shaw's Crab House
