|Position Description:||21c Museum Hotels is seeking an Executive Chef to help shape and create a new restaurant/F&B program for 21c Durham to add to the 21c family (Proof on Main, Metropole, The Hive, Garage Bar.) |
21c Museum Hotels is rehabilitating the historic Hill Building in downtown Durham. 21c Durham will support the city's renewal and serve as an additional catalyst for culture, entertainment and economic growth.
Like its sister properties, 21c Durham will be woven into the fabric of downtown, welcoming both visitors and members of the community to experience its rotating exhibitions, participate in its programs and enjoy its culinary offerings. This project is currently under construction and is expected to open in early 2015.
At a glance: 125 guest rooms, 10,500 square feet of exhibition and event space, full-service, chef-driven restaurant, lounge, fitness center, and spa services.

Reports To: SVP Operations
-Some college education.
-Three or more years of sous chef experience.
-Previous job in a kitchen line position.
-Solid computer knowledge in Microsoft office programs.
-Previous press and media exposure experience.
-Must be able to show enthusiasm for restaurant/property and come from a place of yes.
