We're seeking an energetic, innovative
FOOD SERVICE KITCHEN MANAGER FOR THE FRESH FOOD FACTOR
Responsible for designing and implementing the production start-up operation, including development of standards. Thereafter, s/he will provide technical guidance and supervisory expertise to oversee the daily food production operations and day-to-day management of the Fresh and Healthy social enterprise to meet the program?s objectives: produce meals identified in the program?s menu plan, provide nutrition services management, and oversee the Culinary Training Program.
Must be able to demonstrate solid knowledge in the following areas:
-Vendor and Customer Relationship Management
-Purchasing and Inventory Control
-Staff Development and Training
at least five years' hands-on, large scale kitchen and food service operations experience
extensive knowledge of institutional feeding principles and practices
proven operations start-up experience
A minimum of 2 years food service supervisory/management
-Experience with fresh & healthy food preparation and operations,preferred
-USDA, National School Lunch knowledge,preferred
-ServSafe certification required.
-HACCP certification or ability to obtain.
-Culinary school degree or Bachelor?s degree in food service management, nutrition, dietetics, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination or training and work experience.
