Position Description:POSITION:

Seasonal Chef Job at Historic Grand Lake Lodge, Colorado. Up to $ 3700 / mo. Prefer candidate available April 15th until approximately Oct 1st.


Must be willing to relocate to picturesque snow capped mountain region of northern Colorado near Rocky Mountain National Park, 90 minutes from Denver. Seeking individual to manage the kitchen of the resort during the busy tourist and banquet season. More information about the area at www.GrandLakeLodge.com


-Need Chef to concentrate on banquets/events and Sunday brunch/ feature menus/inventory/ cost control.

-2 years previous Chef experience with kitchen management duties.

-Need moderate volume banquet kitchen operations and supervision experience.

-Moderate size upscale banquet / event/ wedding experience.

-Moderate to strong hands-on line skills to back up sous chefs and line operations

-Need skills in food and labor cost control, scheduling, purchasing, inventory control.

-Experience in menu planning, and custom event menus

-Able to train, develop and supervise 8 staff and 2 Sous Chefs.

-Able to monitor and correct production to company standards, recipes a presentations.

-Need good people skills, team leading skills, high energy and high food quality orientation.
