The Executive Pastry Chef's main responsibility will be to ensure the smooth, efficient and cost effective running of the Pastry Department. He/she will be responsible for overseeing dessert menu creation and menu standardization. The Executive Pastry Chef will instruct cooks in preparing, cooking, garnishing & presentation of deserts. The position also requires checking the quality of pastry products as well as inspecting supplies, equipment and work areas to ensure company standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
-A minimum 5 years of Pastry experience, preferably in 4/5 star hotels or restaurants
-An Associate's degree in Culinary Arts or formal apprenticeship program or equivalent
-Valid Food Safety certification
-Bilingual (English/Spanish) a huge plus
