Job description Assistant General Dining Room Manager - Food Wine & Co., Bethesda Maryland Food Wine & Co., an upscale neighborhood bistro located in the heart of Bethesda, minutes from D.C., seeks an Assistant General Manager.
The Assistant General Manager assists the General Manager with responsibilities for overall quality, guest service and profitability of the restaurant in both the front of the house and the back of the house.
The Assistant General Manager ensures that all personnel and systems function efficiently so that guests are satisfied, the business achieves budgeted profit levels, and employee morale is maintained. This position manages and operates all aspects of the restaurant and property on a daily basis, while ensuring that all guests receive a dining experience in accordance with Food Wine & Co. standards from reservations, through arrivals, departures and follow ups. Desired Skills and Experience

-Minimum 2 years of Management exp. in a high volume fine dining establishment.
-At least 21 years of age
-Written and verbal comprehension of English language.
-Bilingual in Spanish Preferred.
-Advanced computer skills
-Advanced mathematics skills
-Must be able to deal with guests & staff in a courteous, professional manner.
-Maintain polished professional appearance.
-Strong sense of urgency.
-Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality or Business related field or equivalent
-Responsible for scheduling front of house staff
-Responsible for sales and labor forecast.
-Responsible for the managing of all daily and weekly reports
-Oversees hiring, training and development of all front of house associates
-Responsible for opening and closing procedures of the restaurant
-Manage guest relations effectively and efficiently.
-Uphold safety and sanitation standards at all times.
-Demonstrates innovative and a strategic approach to operations.
-Generates new ideas, develops strategies to achieve specific objectives.
-Oversees all administrative responsibilities for the restaurant according to established standards
-Understands and adheres to all Food Wine & Co. Code of Ethics.
