|Position Description:||Great opportunity to join Neil Ferguson at Galley Beach restaurant on Nantucket. Neil is putting together his kitchen team for the 2014 season and has positions for motivated, positive individuals as line cooks looking to work in an enjoyable environment where they can be proud of where they are cooking.|
Galley Beach is located directly on the beach and is a fine dining restaurant with a friendly, informal feel and attentive service. The food is a refined style of cooking using locally sourced, great quality ingredients prepared using good, solid technique and served in a natural style.
All individuals who join our kitchen brigade should have the following attributes.
-Respectful of people, product and surroundings
-Solid work ethic....be willing to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in
-Passionate about all things food and cooking related, a desire to learn
-High standards of personal and kitchen cleanliness
. Understand the meaning of team effort
. Have a healthy sense of humor
. Display kitchen and time awareness
. Good understanding and knowledge of products and techniques, pertinent to their experience level

Neil Ferguson,our Executive Chef, has an exemplary resume, joining us from New York, where he headed up Gordon Ramsay at the London, Allen and Delancey and Soho House. Prior to New York he spent 16 years cooking in many of the best restaurants in London (Gordon Ramsay, The Square, Pied a Terre) and France (L'Arpege and L'Esperance.) He has brought his enthusiasm,passion, philosophy and deft cooking touch to the restaurant, serving a natural,tasty style of cooking for our guests
