|Position Description:||Authentic & Contemporary neighborhood French Bistro is currently looking for an experienced, passionate Chef de Cuisine who will be responsible for daily kitchen operations, menu and daily specials; including but not limited to: ordering, food and labor cost control, back of the house scheduling and sanitation. |
He or She should provide professional leadership; ensure that all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet the restaurants specifications and commitment to quality and hospitality. The position demands creativity on a daily basis, excellent communication skills, kitchen staff training, and the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards. Applicant must be able to work well under pressure, be organized, flexible and a self-starter.
-Exceptional supervisory skills and experience.
-Classical French Cuisine training.
-Meet targeted labor costs through effective staff scheduling and payroll management.
-Meet targeted food costs by researching through local and diverse market venues (i.e. Local Farmers and European Importers)
-Must be available to work extended "Chef Hours", including weekends and all Holidays, to assure consistent & quality food delivery.
-3-5 years full-service, high quality restaurant experience. Culinary degree or equivalent experience from acclaimed establishments or Chefs.
The right candidate will join a Front and Back of the House team dedicated to the highest level of hospitality and serve exceptional food for complete guest satisfaction.
