The James Beard nominated restaurant group is expanding and looking for talent.
We are Now Hiring an:
for Khong River House
Must have an extensive Southeast Asian culinary background and previous Executive Chef experience in order to be considered.
The successful candidate should have a successful culinary background and a fundamental knowledge of the diversity and bold flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine.
-Control food and labor costs within an established budget by utilizing proper buying tools, waste management, and time management of staff
-Ensure that the quality and quantity of all purchases meet established standards
-Manage all kitchen staff, including hiring, training, evaluation, and firing, and comply with all related human resource legal standards
-Orchestrate and be responsible for the inventory process
-Enforce safety and sanitation procedures throughout the kitchen
-Menu development and implementation
-Develop and implement plans to insure that kitchen staff is properly trained on food quality and preparation as well as health and safety standards
-Certificate or degree in Culinary Arts preferred
-Minimum 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high volume, fine dining restaurant
-Impeccable Service Standards, clean work habits with a great attention to detail
-Ability to multitask in a high volume environment while always maintaining a cool demeanor and appearing calm
-Professional demeanor with the ability to interact with all types of team members
-Proven ability to lead a staff and positively influence employee behavior
-Must have excellent verbal communication skills and have the ability to work a challenging schedule
-Computer knowledge including Word & Excel.
