Position Description:Are you a quick thinking, hands-on individual that meets challenges with enthusiasm and urgency in a fast paced hospitality environment? Are you a pro-active, executive oriented, results driven, detailed, and self-motivated individual who possesses good follow through skills to ensure the job is done right? Do you take pride in your ability to effectively and enthusiastically interact, motivate, and communicate with others to ensure a successful and outstanding operation?

If this describes you, we have the ideal position for you to join our management team at a luxury resort located in Orange County.
Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Executive Sous Chef is responsible for assisting with the following:

-Team members - assisting with training, hiring, developing the team

-Product insuring quality product and control to include purchasing, storage, preparation and deliver

-Profit forecasting, keeping waste to a minimum and strategies to reduce spoilage and waste

The ideal candidate will have:

-Minimum of 5 years as Sous Chef in upscale resort or Executive Sous Chef

-Experience in overall kitchen operations, staff training, inventory, ordering and cost controls

-Strong leadership skills

-Ability to build morale with developing a skills culinary team to include banquets and restaurants

-Ability to hire, supervise, and develop staff

-Demonstrated business and budget savvy

-Assist with creative menu designing

-Proven and progressive track record of success

-Upscale Chef Restaurant and Banquet experience

-Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

-Ability to coach, counsel, advise, mentor and motivate associates and managers at all levels

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
