|Position Description:||Marketing Intern for the International Chefs Congress|
StarChefs.com is accepting applications for a 2-month Marketing Internship for the 8th Annual StarChefs.com International Chefs Congress. We're looking for a dedicated, ambitious intern with a great eye for detail and a keen sense of organization to help us service our customers, plan, execute and boost awareness and attendance for this event.
This is the chance of a lifetime for the right food-obsessed candidate to work with great chefs from all over the world and to make a difference for young chefs just getting started. The International Chefs Congress is one of the most important culinary events in the world, and you'll get to help make it all happen.
An internship at StarChefs.com is a substantive and challenging work experience. You will have the opportunity to develop and apply specific skills (i.e. research, writing, computer, presentation skills), as well as the opportunity to network with leading chefs. You'll be working with venues, suppliers, presenters, budgets, rentals, and of course, lots of great food.
We are a small company (20 employees), so you have the opportunity to really make an impact on the company and the service we provide. This 2 month Internship is unpaid but can be eligible for college credit. And if you are looking for a long term opportunity, we often fill our kitchen brigade with former interns. Last year, StarChefs.com hired 3 of its interns for full-time employment.
The opportunity starts Immediately and runs to October 25th. In order to benefit from an internship with us, you will need to be a self-starter capable of doing largely unsupervised work. You will need strong writing and research skills, professional phone/interpersonal skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a drive for results.

-Working with the Marketing team to execute campaign management
-Preparing and maintaining spreadsheets to track ingredients, equipment, sponsor deliverables, etc.
-Assisting with on-site event execution and coordination
-Helping to complete wrap up documents
-Passion & interest for all things culinary (beyond just a love of eating food!)
-Ability to thrive in small company, non-corporate environment
-Outgoing, high energy, organized and attentive to details and accuracy
-Strong and effective (written and verbal) communication skills
-Strong computer skills (use of word, power point, excel) and interest in the web
-Should enjoy building relationships and managing multiple projects
