STARR Restaurants is currently seeking a solid Sous Chef for our well-known Buddakan restaurant in Philadelphia. The successful candidate should have a progressive culinary background that has fundamental understanding of the diversity, fine touches, bold flavors and unique finesse of Pan-Asian cuisine.
Qualified candidates will be:
-Driven towards consistency and service excellence -Energetic and enthusiastic and possess strong communication and organizational skills -Effective at managing a diverse hourly staff
Qualified candidates will have:
-2-5 years of experience as a Sous Chef in an acclaimed, highly rated restaurant -Prior experience training and mentoring an hourly line cook team -Excellent meat/fish butchery skills and know all properties of making stocks & sauces -Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead-by-example -A minimum of an associate?s degree from a culinary focused university preferred
