|Position Description:||The Renaissance St. Louis Grand Hotel located 800 Washington Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63101 is currently hiring a Sous Chef, Capri Kitchen Req #130005SM|
Accountable for overall success of the daily kitchen operations in the Capri Kitchen-This position cooks for the Capri Restaurant, the Grand Bar, Room Service and the Club Lounge. This position will be primarily evening hours. 17 cooks will report to this position. Hands on position that requires someone who loves to cook and have control of their menus. Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food related functions. Works to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. Supervises all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high quality product is produced. Responsible for guiding and developing staff including direct reports. Must ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved.
