Outstanding opportunity for Chef de Cuisine in Tuscan style dining room. Qualified candidates will have extensive experience in scratch production of all restaurant product, including pastas, sauces, stocks, etc. Responsible for the continued innovation of cuisine to reflect industry trends and guests' palates. Must have strong leadership skills to hire/train/lead/motivate team and deal with performance issues, as needed. Will be responsible for complete financial management of culinary operations, including meeting set financial goals for department.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of two years' experience in a leadership position, either as a Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine, preferably in a Four or Five Star property. Culinary degree or accredited apprenticeship preferred. Servsafe certification. Strong knowledge of cost controls, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency with Windows XP and Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Must have flexibility to work any days/hours of the week, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changes.
