Fresh Bakery & Market, located in Camden, Maine is seeking an experienced, creative, detail-oriented, and passionate Pastry Chef responsible for creating a wide variety of desserts from scratch. The Pastry Chef would work directly under the Head Pastry Chef/General Manager and be responsible for creating top quality, inspired desserts for the Bakery and Fresh Restaurant, an American-Mediterranean Bistro.
Additional responsibilities include assisting the manager in controlling food costs and working within a set budget, ordering ingredients & supplies as needed, and staying on top of the latest trends & techniques. This is a full-time, year-round position with paid vacation and health insurance benefits. Must be willing to work early morning hours, weekends and holidays. Candidates should possess at least 2 years experience in a fast-paced, high production pastry kitchen, and have an Associate's degree or higher-level education in pastry arts from an accredited culinary school or equivalent experience.
