Ridgewells Catering is seeking a Sous Chef who will assist the Executive Chef in the management of a high quality/high volume production kitchen. Responsibilities include:
-Assuring that food within departments are prepared in an organized, efficient and timely manner -Providing hands-on assistance -Assists with inventory control -Taking part in the responsibilities of Events Kitchen Management -Participating in the training of Event Designers and kitchen staff -Maintaining recipe standards to ensure that food is produced to specification -Assists with executing client menu tastings -Scheduling kitchen employees to maximize efficiency and meeting labor budgetary guidelines -Maintaining food cost controls and other records -Ensuring all staff practices safe and sanitary food handling procedures
Qualifications:
-A degree from a culinary arts training institute; or equivalent education or experience. -At least three (3) years of proven professional experience -Strong interpersonal skills -The ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
