Job Requirements: -Certificate or degree in Culinary Arts preferred. -Minimum 3 years experience as Chef / Kitchen manager, Sous Chef in a high volume, full service restaurant. -Kitchen management or supervisory experience in a casual dining environment -Impeccable Service Standards, clean work habits with a great attention to detail. -Ability to multitask in a high volume environment while always maintaining a sense of humor and appearing calm. -Professional demeanor with the ability to interact with all types of team members. -Strong leadership abilities including passion for employee training/development. -Ability to foster an environment where team members are engaged and have a sense of ownership -Proven ability to lead a staff and positively influence employee behavior. -Must have excellent verbal communication skills and have the ability to work a flexible schedule. -Passion for and commitment to the restaurant industry -Basic understanding of computer skills (Word, Excel)
Job Responsibilities include the following: -Ensuring a high level of quality and consistency of product at all times -Establishing and maintaining a TEAM environment that displays a high level of energy, engagement, and builds ownership -Maintaining sanitation, cleanliness, and safety in kitchen operations that meets company standards and complies with government regulations -Achieving desired results relative to the management of food and labor costs -Ensuring that kitchen equipment is properly maintained and repaired -Ordering, receiving, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels -Working the line as needed, particularly during slow times and between shifts
