Position Description:
The Dean of the College of Culinary Arts serves as the ranking official of the college and has direct responsibility for the college at the Providence Campus with collaborative and consultative oversight of the college's curriculum and outcomes at the university's regional campuses.
The Dean provides leadership and direction to all aspects of academic programming and oversight of curriculum, outcomes, and faculty on the Providence Campus in alignment with university policy and strategic objectives. The position oversees the academic, fiscal and physical aspects of the college and reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs of the Providence Campus.
The university is seeking a creative and motivated individual with the demonstrated capacity to lead and develop the College of Culinary Arts and to build upon its leadership position in the world of culinary arts. A Master's degree is required, in addition to relevant experience preferably in a similar managerial/leadership position and in food service management, culinary arts, or hospitality settings. Other important characteristics include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, food safety certification, and the ability to forge and maintain effective relationships with internal and external constituencies.
