We are currently seeking an Executive Chef for the ARAMARK operations at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, located in Columbus,OH.
This position requires the ability to train, develop and manage all levels of culinary staff in a diverse environment with focus on developing Executive Sous Chefs and Sous Chefs and their requisite leadership and organizational skills. As an Executive Chef, you will be the culinary lead on-site responsible for the proper production and presentation of all food.
You will lead and train kitchen personnel, supervise and coordinate all personnel engaged in preparing and cooking food in related culinary activities, estimate food consumption, purchase food, select and develop recipes, standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality, establish presentation techniques and quality standards and plan and price menus. In addition, this position will oversee proper equipment operation and maintenance as well as proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen as per ARAMARK standards.
Executive Chef directly supervises kitchen personnel with responsibility for hiring, discipline, performance reviews and initiating pay increases. This position reports to the ARAMARK General Manager.
This position requires a high level of organizational skills and an understanding of leadership and project development. Additionally we seek the following:
Minimum 10+ years of industry and culinary management experience Culinary degree preferred Ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer service Responsible for budget planning and control Ability to prescribe and control costs - food and labor Champions communication among food and beverage team Recommends training and development needs as it relates to the team Ability to develop regional products and recipes Computer literacy including word processing, Excel and presentation software P&L accountability and/or contract managed service experience is desirable. Proven experience in high volume, high quality production. Candidates must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary
