We are looking for a hardworking, totally on top of it, decisive, go-getter who's got boundless energy, lots of patience, astounding follow through, and "we'll admit it" a bit of a thick skin.
Applicants must be responsible and no-nonsense to keep our CEO and Managing Editor organized, prioritized, and sane. You've got to be outgoing, methodical, and able to multi-task with the best of them to thrive in this role.
Tasks include answering phones, drafting and responding to emails, scheduling interviews, setting up tasting trips, making travel arrangements, updating outlook contacts, managing mailing lists, doing research and pre-interviewing chefs, fact-checking, compiling expense reports, sending out invitations, prioritizing company must do's and anything else that may come up. You should be a wiz with excel, have superb writing skills, and know how to use Access and/or Filemaker. Basically, your job is making the workday smoother and more efficient for these workaholic executives so they can get everything done in a timely manner.
