Join an experienced team opening a 165 seat farm-to-table restaurant in Princeton, NJ. The restaurant will offer a refreshing twist on rustic American dining in the heart of the university town featuring a festive bar, open and private event dining. Restaurant proprietor, Jim Nawn, and Executive Chef, Josh Thomsen, named Rising Star by StarChefs.com have designed an experience where every dish will be bursting with seasonal flavors sourced locally at our own Great Road Farm (www.greatroadfarm.com) and where welcoming service and attention to unexpected details will provide the guest with an escape from the daily routine.
Responsibilities
The General Manager will be responsible for a 4 member management team whose responsibilities include selection, training and managing a service team delivering a great dining experience in concert with Chef Josh Thomsen's culinary team. The successful individual must have a passion for people and hospitality with past experience in upscale dining management and private event management.
Experience
The successful candidate will have the following background:
-Minimum 5 years of experience in restaurant hospitality; experience to include responsibility for guest service, labor management, people training and development.
-Minimum 2 years of experience in management in a fine dining restaurant.
-Education consisting of a bachelor?s degree or similar culinary degree.
